As the chair of the board, I would like to offer you a warm welcome to the SHINE Multi Academy Trust (SHINE) website.
SHINE was formed on 1st December 2016, with Whitemoor Academy (Primary and Nursery) being the founding school. We have quickly grown across three counties and now include: Ranskill Primary (1st January 2017), Scotholme Primary and Nursery School (1st February 2017); Ironville and Codnor Park Primary (1st March 2018), Langold Dyscarr Community School (1st April 2019) and John Hunt Academy (1st February 2021).
The core purpose of our multi academy trust is to ensure that our schools raise aspirations and achievement, take care and celebrate uniqueness. I am extremely proud to be part of this growing organisation, which ensures the values of provision, enhancement and enrichment - when combined together proportionally - create a unique, high-quality education for every pupil, allowing them to achieve academically and to SHINE individually.
SHINE is most definitely centred around people - pupils, staff, parents, governors, trustees and local communities - and their importance remains at the heart of everything we do. The growth of SHINE is benefiting each school and all are beginning to see the advantages of economies of scale, and the sharing of good practice by utilising the expertise of our many highly effective practitioners.
The trustees and local governors feel passionately about securing a first class education for the next generation; SHINE strives to find that something special and offers a personalised learning experience for all. This drive for excellence is well recognised in all our schools.
